Is there any regulation on the height of the access door?
The height of the access door shall not be less than 1.40m.
According to the knowledge of laws and regulations and GB7588-2003 Safety Code for Elevator Manufacture and Installation, the width of the access door shall not be less than 0.60m.. In addition, the EN 81-20:2014 standard requires that the minimum height and the minimum width of the access door of the machine room shaft should be 2m and 0.6m respectively.
The minimum height and width of the access door of pulley room are 1.4m and 0.6m respectively.
