Mechanical properties: ABS has impact strength and maintains toughness even at low temperatures of -40°C. The tensile strength is generally 33~52MPa.
Excellent impact resistance, high impact ABS room temperature Izod impact strength can reach about 400J/m.
It has wear resistance and good dimensional stability and can be used in medium load bearings.
Bending strength and compressive strength are poor among plastics.
Physical Properties: Appearance is ivory opaque pellets, non-toxic and odorless, density is about 1.05g/cm³.
The water absorption rate is low, and the water absorption rate after immersion in water at room temperature does not exceed 1% in one year.
The shrinkage rate is 0.4% ~ 0.9%, and the dimensional stability is good.
The surface can be polished to obtain highly glossy products.
Chemical Properties: Resistant to water, inorganic salts, alkali and acids, but not resistant to strong oxidizing acids.
Insoluble in alcohols and hydrocarbon solvents.
Easily soluble in aldehydes, ketones, esters and some chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Stress cracking will occur when corroded by glacial acetic acid and vegetable oil.
